The snow will move in this afternoon and continue through the morning. Winds gusting to 40. Won't be enjoyable working outside Friday.

It's still a little early to put a lot of confidence in the Christmas Eve forecasts, especially when dealing with frozen precipitation. BUT, the potential is there for some action in the region. Maybe a little wraparound precip when the storm passes.

Heavy rainfall filled creeks and overran drainage ditches as Tahlequah received several inches of rain in a very short period Saturday afternoon. This car was swept off of a parking lot entrance near the movie theatre in east Tahlequah.

Caught up with the storm moving NE from Edmond/Guthrie as it came across the Stillwater area. Photo as the storm moves from Payne to Pawnee county.

This storm continued NE to cause some damage as it neared Pawnee and north. Tough chasing in Osage County with the lack of secondary roads.

Flying Southwest Airlines

Flew Southwest for the first time. Crews were great! Didn't expect to find out on the same day that they hadn't been inspecting their planes!!! Great time to find out....after I get home.

Best lines from the flight attendants: "If there is anything you can do to make our job easier, let us know."

Upon arriving in St.Louis, "Like my daddy told me on my 18th birthday, get your bag and get out!"

Oklahoma Weather will drive you nuts! I knew we might have flurries, but not 3 or 4 hours of heavy snow showers yesterday evening.

Cold Air Funnel

Had a couple of people ask me if I still had photos of a cold air funnel that developed at the leading edge of an approaching line. Although it's a traffic stopper for those who don't know what it is, it's usually not a damage maker and generally short lived.

Super Tuesday Tornado Outbreak

Managed to take a weekend trip four days after the outbreak to North Central Arkansas to survey the storm damage.
Along with Ch.2 chaser Jeff Smith and a group of friends, a relief mission was mounted to Gassville, Ash Flat, and Zion Ark areas. Thanks to everyone for the donations and assistance provided to make the trip possible. Special thanks QTG Gatorade Pryor facility and North Point Ford for the vehicle and fuel.
